In 2016 many people thought that Biden would have thrown his hat in the 2016 presidential elections, he did not due to a major family loss. Biden started to bring attention to himself as a viable candidate in 2018 when he campaigned for several Democrats in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania (during the Midterms). In April 2019, Biden announced that he would run for the 2020 Presidential Democratic Primaries in order to “unify” America and “heal” America and bring policies like- universal health care, climate change, progressive social justice, employment for all Middle Class, immigration, and criminal justice system into the focus of the presidency.
