May 7, 2019: Inslee signed into law a mandate for carbon-free electricity in Washington by 2045.

May 4, 2019: Inslee participated in the March for Science in Sacramento, California.
May 3, 2019: Inslee announced a new clean energy plan to move the country to 100 percent clean energy. He proposed manufacturing zero-emission vehicles, eliminating the carbon footprint for all new buildings, shutting down coal-fired power plants, and requiring utility companies to become 100 percent carbon neutral by 2035.
May 1, 2019: Inslee discussed climate change during a town hall at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
Presidential Standings/ Signature Issues:
Has a deep concern for the nation's environmental policy, historically he has been a force to be reckoned with in terms of green jobs creation, and his staunch advocacy of The Green New Deal headed by other leading democrats in the field.shows where his principal focus is. Green jobs, education on climate change and the banishing of coal on a 10 year timetable stands as the crowning points in his campaign currently.
Position on Disability Rights
The governor has overwhelmingly supported the full inclusion of equal rights for the disability community- how they should receive employment, community access, and prevocational services have been dialogues he has participated in before. He proposed a bill echoing his opinions in 2014, the bill did not receive a required two-thirds majority to be voted into law, but the point stands that Governor Inslee is a true supporter of the Disability community as a whole and is willing to be an advocate. In 2018, he declared the month of October to focus only on the Employment for the Disability Community in the state of Washington.
Position on Women’s Rights
Governor Inslee strongly believes that women have the ultimate right to decide for themselves in terms what they need in regards to issues such as abortion and health care.

Position on LGBT Rights
Echoing his views on women’s rights, Governor Inslee also wholesomely believes in LGBT rights, equality as well as their desire to have same-sex marriage rights. Washington State is one of many states that legalized same-sex marriage for the LGBT community before the Supreme Court recognized it as law.
